First off, I just want to say that I know I'll never be able to repay my brother for such a wonderful oh my goodness amazing once in a lifetime trip! Mackey, what I can do is just thank you SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for taking Gavin and I around the world! It's just something that I'm always going to tell people about! I FINALLY left the country! And hey, they let me back in lol!
And now, I'm going to share with you something I wrote during the flight home from New Zealand. Really, you don't have to read it if you don't want to. I just found it funny because I'd forgotten about it until earlier today. Here, I'll even put it in a different color font! That way if you're in a hurry you can skip ahead and just check out the fun photos! If you feel like taking the time, well, ENJOY!!!
January 9, 2010: If you asked me two months ago, even one month ago, what I'd be doing in 2010, I wouldn't have told you that I'd be flying over the Pacific Ocean watching ZombieLand. I wouldn't have told you that I'd be rocking in the New Year watching the most amazing fireworks show in the world. I wouldn't have told you that I'd finally leave the USA and realize I can have fun no matter where I am in the world.
Right now I'm giggling at the child across from me. No, not my brother Mackey. This little boy, who got into his flannel PJs before the flight started, is jumping around while his father turns his seat into a bed. He's jumping like he is his little kangaroo stuffed animal that is wearing boxing gloves. I really wanted to get one of those dolls but decided against it. Having my mother give me my own things as Christmas gifts made me realize that I didn't need any more "stuff." I did get a boomerang though! Super stoked about my boomerang!
And I did bring home one gift. For my Mumsy. Actually, I got myself the same gift, so counting that and my boomerang, I'm bringing home three gifts, two for me :) Hey, what are Jojo's for? By the way, ZombieLand ended. I wouldn't be writing if it was still on. That movie was really awesome!
I'm writing right now (4:06am Eastern Time, 10:06pm Jojo Time) during "All About Steve." I can do this because I already watched "All About Steve" on the flight from Sydney to Cairns. I watched it and cried. Yes, I cried on a flight. There's a first time for everything!
By the way, "All About Steve" is awesome too. I feel bad because my roomie Kristin asked me to see it with her and I didn't. I thought it looked stupid. Kristin, I'm sorry! We will watch it when I get home! It is definitely not stupid! I miss you and I can't wait to watch this movie with you!
By the way, I think this woman near me is drunk. She is flirting with the flight attendant while her husband sleeps. Speaking of husbands, everyone thinks Mackey and I are married. Yes we have the same last name. I find it all funny. And creepy. Very creepy. We're both very quick to point out that we're brother and sister.
And I will say that I'm proud of us. We didn't get along all that well growing up. Now we're mature adults. We're buddies! I had an absolute blast laughing with my brother on this trip! Anyway, I'm now going back to watching my movie and reading my Agassi book!
So what did you think? Interesting stuff huh? LOL! I didn't realize I'd written so much! And guess what!!! I'M NOT DONE!!!
My favorite line in "All About Steve" is: Why do you wear those stupid red boots all the time? I wear them because they make my toes feel like ten friends on a camping trip!
It reminds me of a running shoe advertisement that showed the bottom of someone's feet and each toe had a smiley face. Love it! And basically, this movie's message was such: Don't change... for anybody.
And that concludes my writing from the plane. If you did read it, I hope you enjoyed it :) I definitely did! And hey, the Caps just won their 12th game in a row! 6-5 over the Rangers in New York. Simply beautiful! I hope you enjoyed my Australia blogging! Guess what... Just because I'm back in the USA doesn't mean I'm going to stop blogging! I have a big summer coming up, lots of adventures to take place... and I can't wait to share them with you! One HUGE adventure awaits me on the 29th of August, but I'll save that for my next blog ;) So for now, I'll leave you with some very fun photos from Auckland! See you next blog!
Talk about pretty kitties!
Can't you just see this one on the left bitching about something? "And well I told Fran you just can't let someone take your birdseed like that!"
